Professional Workforce opportunities for MEA/KDOL students and Mentor/Teachers

• MEA’s social enterprise division provides fee-based services to non-profits and businesses in order to generate earned income. In 2011-12 MEA generated earned income that enabled MEA to provide students with paid internships while working with professionals in the media field.

• Clients such as OUSD, Independent Sector, Office of Alameda County Supervisor Keith Carson, Peralta Hacienda, Oakland Leaf, The East Bay College Fund, The Marcus Foster Fund, Alameda County Fair, The City of Oakland, and the Clorox Foundation provide students with real-world opportunities, paid internships, and help build their resumes and portfolios.
